Special gemaakt door McDonnell Douglas over het 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron gestationeerd op Soesterberg AB in Nederland. Het 32nd TFS onderscheid zich door de ontvanger te zijn van de Hughes Trophy in 1966, 1980 en 1981. Daarmee was het 32nd TFS het eerste Squadron die de begeerde onderscheiding twee jaar op rij won. Bovendien was in 1980 het 32nd TFS de eerste F-15 Eagle eenheid die de Hughes Trophy won.

In 1959 werd de kroon en krans toegevoegd aan het beroemde "Wolfhound" Squadron embleem, een ontwerp van Walt Disney. Hiermee werd het 32nd TFS "Wolfhounds" de enige eenheid in de USAF die het koninklijk wapen van een ander land mocht dragen. Deze unieke eer werd toegekend als erkenning voor de bijdrage van de eenheid aan de verdediging van Nederland en illustreerde op grafische wijze de nauwe banden van het 32nd TFS met de Koninklijke Luchtmacht.

The 32nd TFS has the distinction of being the recipient of the Hughes Trophy in 1966, 1980 and 1981. Being the first Squadron that won the conveted award two years in a row. Moreover in 1980 the 32nd TFS was the first F-15 Eagle unit to win the Hughes Trophy.

In 1959 the 32nd "Wolfhounds" became the only unit in the USAF authorized to bear the Royal Crest of another country, when the Crown and Wreath were added to the famed "Wolfhound" design. This unique honor was granted in recognition of the unit's contribution to the defense of The Netherlands and graphically illustrated the 32nd's close ties with the Royal Netherlands Air Force.
