1000 MINUTES OF SWEAT IN 10 DAYS | Crazy Exercise Challenge!
Malaysia is currently in a Full Movement Control Order or Lockdown. This means we cannot leave our homes without a good reason. Luckily, we are allowed to go outdoors and exercise in our neighbourhoods.
I was invited by the "The Thousand Times" Facebook page to participate in a challenge of serious exercise. I usually run an hour, twice a week but during this challenge I had to exercise and sweat for 1000 minutes within 10 days. It sounded easy at first, but when I realised this would be an average of 1 hour and 40 minutes per day I was a little uncertain!
During this everlasting Corona Pandemic, more and more people are losing their businesses and jobs. This creates a lot of stress and the suicide rates are going up here in Malaysia. Regular exercise is a great way to reduce stress and maintain a strong mental health. When I run or exercise, I forget about the world for a while and my stress is reduced. I believe that a happy body means a happy mind.
Please reach out to your friends or family if you are struggling. There is always someone who is willing to lend a helping hand or listen to you. Feel free to reach out to the initiative called BEFRIENDERS if you feel the need to talk to someone outside of your own circle.
