Memorize vs. get the story behind
Take all and any advice for granted vs. ones that can filter the information
Get as many questions answered (reactive) vs. a few questions answered properly (proactive)
Get 5 stories and spin them throughout a 5 hour interview vs. 20 stories
Obsess over doing their new CV, or finding out the level of their role, or looking their interviewer profiles on LinkedIn or watching Jeff Bezos videos vs. obsess over the actual prep
Prepare what they’re already good at vs. spend time to self assess and prep on what they can’t do
See an interview as a one time (destination) vs. others prepping their career (journey - for life; you don’t really work for someone while prepping for an interview - you work for yourself; it sounds, and is often selfish)
Prepare until it’s “good enough” vs. paranoid - push the limit, 10x as good;
Listen to respond vs. listen to learn
Look to please the interviewer (~and to be likable) vs. make sense (have backbone)
