The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a notice dated December 21, calling upon medical colleges and universities nationwide to furnish details on the approximate number of 2018 MBBS batch students undergoing internships post their Final Main Examination, along with the internship completion date. This initiative aims to evaluate the internship completion timeline for the 2018 MBBS cohort, enabling their participation in the forthcoming National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2024.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on the schedule for admissions and course completion, including internships, the NMC has taken this step to gather crucial information. The commission has shared a Google Form link with the registrars of all colleges and universities, facilitating the submission of necessary details. The deadline for form submission is December 25, as mentioned in the notice released by the NMC.

Given the ongoing challenges posed by the pandemic, there exists a probability of the NEET-PG 2024 being postponed.
