Dick Van Dyke on Staying Young at 90! Happy Birthday!

Longtime Malibu resident and legendary actor/comedian Dick Van Dyke, talks about turning 90 years old in this candid interview, in the dressing room at the Malibu Playhouse.

Van Dyke had performed with his quartet The Vantastix ( Eric Bradley, Bryan Chadima, and Mike Mendyke) at the Malibu Playhouse to an enthusiastic audience.

The dynamic acapella group have been performing together since 2000, charming audiences by singing beloved classic wherever they perform.

Van Dyke shares the secrets to his success for staying young, his youthful exuberance for life, and the importance of why you need to “Keep Moving.”

Anyone who has spent a second with Van Dyke knows that’s what he does, he keeps moving. Whether a slight wiggle of a finger or his feet that just can’t keep still, his movement tells the story of his life and is the inspiration for his newly released book, Keep Moving: And Other Tips and Truths About Aging.

How does one celebrate a 90th birthday for an icon, well of course, you go to Disneyland. Arlene Van Dyke organized a special family, friends and fan based birthday party, the party of the century, for her husband Dick Van Dyke.

Those celebrating at the resort were encouraged to come dressed in costume, either as their favorite Dick Van Dyke character or a Chimney Sweep.

Some of the activities being held at Disneyland resort will include; Jolly Holiday Bakery Dedication, Birthday Serenade held at New Orleans Square, performance by Dick Van Dyke and the Vantastix, Pre-Parade Birthday Cavalcade, Let’s Go Fly A Kite Sing-A-Long and a whole lot more.
