The battle for the West is heating up. The Calgary Stampeders handed the Saskatchewan Roughriders their first loss of the season with a 24-10 win at Mosaic Stadium, moving both teams to 4-1. Vernon Adams Jr. threw for over 400 yards and 3 touchdowns — 2 to standout rookie Damien Alford — while Calgary’s defense forced multiple turnovers to shut down one of the league’s top offenses. Trevor Harris also passed for 400+ yards in his return, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Riders unbeaten.
