Playing the blues scale on the first pentatonic position sounds great, but it can become a little repetitive and predictable.

In this video we are going to look at the blues scale in a new way.

If you analyze the blues scale closely you can find a half-diminished arpeggio hidden in it.

You can combine the scale and the arpeggio to add some tension!
