Millions of listeners have fallen under the sway of R.LUM.R’s alluring R&B track, “Frustrated.” Singer/songwriter Reggie Williams began playing classical guitar at a Florida high school for the arts, but honed his chops at the State college where he also fell under the influence of John Mayer, the Mars Volta, and Radiohead. A blend of those sounds, as well as the jazz, R&B, and gospel his mother favored when he was growing up, define R.LUM.R’s music. His profile got a bump when Spotify placed “Show Me” on its New Music Tuesday playlist. And when they added “Frustrated” to their mix, the song's stirring emotions, powered by Williams' stunning falsetto delivery, racked up more than 16 million plays.
