CUBCAM - Live from Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve's lion enclosure

In light of the recent government advice regarding COVID-19 It is with a heavy heart that we will be closing Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve and Howletts Wild Animal Park to the public and will remain closed until at least 24th April 2020. We are in contact with the relevant authorities and will work to reopen both parks to guests as soon as it’s appropriate to do so.

Our supporters know that we are MUCH more than a zoo. We have spent more than 30 years at the very forefront of animal care, conservation and reintroduction. With your support, we have sent hundreds of animals #BackToTheWild. Now, the COVID-19 outbreak threatens generations of work.

It costs £1,500,000 a year just to feed our animals. Despite the closure, our team of dedicated keepers and vets are working as hard as they can to ensure that the animals in our care are properly fed and looked after.
