Apple wants to trademark apples. The tech giant has been after the intellectual property (IP) rights to the depiction of the fruit since 2017, when it submitted an application to the Swiss Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI) for the IP rights to a black-and-white image of a Granny Smith apple.
