Vasectomy without a scalpel??
Dr. Khouri discusses the no-scalpel vasectomy compared to the traditional vasectomy. In the no-scalpel vasectomy, the urologist uses a sharp forceps to pierce the skin and spread it apart. This is functionally very similar to making an incision with a scalpel.
When deciding who to go to for a vasectomy, look for the urologist with the most experience in vasectomies. Let the urologist perform the procedure as they usually do; do not focus too much on the type of instrument they will use to open the skin.
