Second Saturday Series - "The Edmund Fitzgerald Investigations" w/ Ric Mixter (Jan 2018)

When launched on June 7, 1958, the SS Edmund Fitzgerald was the largest ship on North America's Great Lakes, and she remains the largest to have sunk there. The ship was traveling on Lake Superior with a cargo of ore pellets from Superior, Wisconsin in route to Detroit, when she was caught in a severe storm. Hurricane-force winds caused the ship to sink on November 10, 1975 with the loss of the entire crew of 29.
Award-winning videographer Ric Mixter presents rare construction footage of the Fitzgerald, and interviews from every major expedition to the site of the shipwreck.
