We start with simple charts and then progressively improve them by applying key data visualization principles, including:

• Colour usage – using colour intentionally instead of randomly
• Spacing and layout – creating breathing room so visuals are easier to read
• Visual hierarchy – guiding the viewer’s eye to what matters most
• Ordering and structure – arranging charts so insights are obvious
• Text and labeling – reducing clutter while keeping context

These small design improvements are what separate beginner dashboards from professional analytics reports used by real organizations.
