This is a problem, our engineers are building this shit with more and more plastic, this engine also uses a plastic oil pickup tube. Plastic is going to be our downfall. Nothing will last made out of plastic, even metal degrades over time. I’ve seen cast getting porous and heads leaking oil or coolant but please no more plastic. Just like bottles and plastic toys all these Detroit engines are filling the garbage dumps with plastic components.
