When you’re competing in any sport, disliking your opponent is only natural - actually, you can dislike your teammate as well. It happens in the NBA despite basketball being a team sport. The NBA is no different because of superstars like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, and the player I’m going to talk about in this video: Stephen Curry.

Steph Curry, the first unanimous MVP, a three-time champion, and widely considered to be the best shooter in NBA history, has changed the way we play basketball nowadays. Way back when, it was all about slow-tempo, grind-it-out-type of basketball, and defense- oriented basketball. Now, it’s all about the three-point shot, how fast can you push the ball on the offensive end and whether you can switch and defend 1 through 5.

When the Warriors squandered a 3 games to 1 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers back in the 2016 NBA finals, a lot of people decided to jump on the hating bandwagon on Steph Curry, as we do with numerous NBA Superstars. The topic in the league became “Was Steph Curry Really Good?” or was he just overrated? So, a lot of NBA players talked smack and expressed themselves on why they disliked Stephen Curry. And TRUST me, You’re going to be VERY surprised at the last NBA player on this list.
1. Michael Jordan

Now, any comments from the GOAT, you will listen and understand why he said that. If Curry changed the way we shoot the ball in terms of range and efficiency, Jordan changed the game culturally on a global scale. The reason why the NBA is popular in any country is Mike.

Craig asked another question to MJ, “so Steph Curry shouldn’t be offended when he watches this?”

Although Curry might have been joking, he idolized MJ growing up, so a comment from him might have frustrated him just a little bit.

2. James Harden

This next one was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, and a lot of people disliked how he handled his exit with the Rockets - talk about being upset at someone right? - just like a lot of players James Harden wasn’t a fan of Steph Curry back when Harden was considered to be an MVP candidate.
But, Stephen Curry edged him out for the MVP because the Warriors were the best team in basketball that year, finishing a league-best 67 wins to 15 losses.

James Harden wasn’t shy when reporters asked him about Curry winning the MVP that year. Not his exact words, but he said. “I thought I won that award 100%.”

3. Charles Barkley

Although this next player didn’t win a title, his takes on “Inside The NBA” matter, because he always seems to make us laugh despite being serious. Oh Chuck! Back in the 2014-2015 season Shaq, Ernie, Kenny, and Chuck had a topic about who’s the all-time best, who’s the fattest - ok, that topic is mainly from Shaq and Chuck - and during a discussion on who the current top-five in the NBA is, Charles didn’t have Stephen Curry on his list.

He explained by saying. “Giannis, LeBron, James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kawhi Leonard are on my list.”

“100% wrong. Steph Curry has put his name back in the conversation. We talk about the best players, we talk about KD, we talk about Giannis, Kawhi, and Lebron. Steph Curry is proving to us he’s a two-time MVP.”

4. Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard has carved out his career as one of the game’s best scoring point guards. Named as “Logo” Lillard.

It’s no surprise Dame is being compared to Steph in many ways. However, he doesn't like it. A reporter asked Dame if he was channeling Steph that game, and he said. “I was being Damian Lillard.”

5. Dennis Rodman

Dennis Rodman rarely speaks to the media, but when he does, it goes viral pretty quick!

I know Steph Curry is not your ideal Superstar, but the shade thrown at him is at many times, unwarranted. When he retires, there will never be another Steph Curry.
