There have been many masters of physical comedy but there is only one Don Knotts. The talented comedian and actor was known for his distinct physical humor, hilarious facial expressions, and mastery of evoking nervous energy.

Knotts is best remembered for his role as Deputy Sheriff Barney Fife on "The Andy Griffith Show" and Ralph Furley on the sitcom "Three’s Company." Knotts began his career performing as a ventriloquist and comedian at church and school functions and ended his career as one of TV’s most beloved stars. But his rise to the top wasn’t always easy.
