Benefits of Drinking Warm Milk | Jiva Ayurveda | Dr. Chauhan

Since ancient times milk has been a staple diet for many people. It offers a lot of health benefits which include several vitamins and minerals essential for good health. Drinking warm milk before going to bed has lots of benefits like it helps you to relax and sleep better after a hectic day.

But people have many misconceptions about milk that we should stop believing that milk is the white poison, that we only drink milk in our childhood, etc. so what does Ayurveda says about milk?

According to Ayurveda milk is very beneficial for our body, mind, it also increases memory power and also provides special and unique nutrition that cannot be derived from any other type of food. Milk makes our bones strong and nourishes all the tissue including blood, muscle, reproductive tissue, helping to balance all the doshas, promoting balanced emotions. It is one of the most important foods to promote Ojas.

Further, if you drink milk there is a chance that your body cough will increase, but there is a way to stop it also. But how?

Steps to make milk that reduces cough in your body:
1. Glass of milk
2. 1/4 Turmeric powder
3. Pinch of cinnamon powder
4. Cardamom
5. Ginger

Benefits
Milk is also very healthy for kids because of their growing age and it helps to maintain Ojas. For adults and old age it's also very beneficial to maintain Ojas and it gives energy. We should always drink a glass of hot milk before going to bed and feel happy, healthy while nourishing body and minds.
