Bruce Wayne has been retired since 2008. He closed himself off from the world, but not without helping to form the Justice League in 2017; which consist of Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Green Lantern, and the Flash. Why has Bruce retired? He started his journey of The Batman in 2001, hoping to save the people of Gotham from the cruelty that they're so used to. Dick Grayson came into his life soon after he dawned the cowl, and together they did change things, but nothing last forever in Gotham. Dick was replaced by Jason Todd, so he could head to Detroit and begin his life; outside the suit.

Years later, Jason Todd would meet his fate during a fatal encounter with The Joker. Harley watched, as Jason lied helplessly on the floor. She watched as the pry bar swung into his face, over and over again with maniacal laughter right beside her. Seeing a face of madness on the love of her life changed their relationship forever. He was later caught and has been locked up in Arkham ever since. This, other than the loss of his parents, has been the toughest loss for Bruce. Only person he blames is himself.

My edit will give a slight origin to The Joker, leading to a montage of the events I have just described. The cut then begins in present time, where all of our heroes are in different places, not just physically to protect all parts of the world, to emotionally as well. Question you're probably wondering is where is Kal-El?

Kal-El is featured back on Krypton, never arriving on Earth as an infant. Instead, I wanted to take advantage of the fact that Krypton isn't really that much explored in the film universe. Kandor City is featured as the most advanced civilization on the planet. While General Zod lives in Kandor, Kal-El was raised almost on the other side of Krypton. Where Kal-El comes from, he's never seen weapons that the people of Kandor use. Really wanted to treat Krypton like Earth, and show the vast difference of tech vs lack of tech throughout the world. This is where Immortals film comes into play, as Kal-El fights with his hands and his sword. His family was murdered by Darkseid's Army, which is lead by Hyperion.

Darkseid's presence is featured throughout the entire edit, and I do show him but I won't go into any details on that as I want to have that as a surprise for my fans on my website. The plot revolves around Darkseid wanting to take over the universe, starting with Earth. For hundreds of years, a large, cult-like group known as 'The Council' have been planning for his arrival on Earth. Darkseid cannot win a war by himself, even though he's considered the most powerful character. He gets help from his Legion (Brainiac, Kal-El (forced), Trigon). Trigon made a deal with Darkseid that if he can reign Hell on Earth, then Darkseid can rule over the entire universe.

Brainiac helps Darkseid by attacking Kandor and convincing General Zod to help conquer Earth, or lose his people and his world. In my cut, Darkseid is powerful enough to talk to people telepathically. I also didn't want to steer away from the horror if something like Darkseid invading Earth ever did happen. What would it be like slowing transforming into a parademon? I use the character of Dr. Hector Hammond to illustrate this idea, making him go mad at first with Darkseid in his head and then watch him physically transform into a parademon. He is also the parademon that Batman will ultimately fight on the rooftop.

My main focus is to tell a character driven story, in a unique format. Featured throughout, you'll notice a new color grade for every clip, and new musical scores.
