⛵ SAILING INTO THE ROARING FORTIES - GOUGH ISLAND PART I - FEB 2021 - S01E09

⛵ Join us as we set sail from Cape Town, South Africa aboard Skip Novak's expedition sailing yacht Pelagic Australis. We take a team of scientist to the remote Gough Island at 40˚ South to save the mighty Albatross. This is Part I of the five week expedition. Part II is out now! :)

Our journey begins with a 14 day quarantine in Cape Town to make sure the boat is Covid free. We then sail 1400nm across the South Atlantic and into the roaring forties to drop off a team of scientist to eradicate the invasive house mice on Gough Island. These are eating the Albatross chicks alive and are decimating the local population.
