📚 Description: Some things are just too bizarre to make up. In 2008, Canadian Guitar Chain, Long and Mcquade, commissioned 75 "Maple Burst" 1958 R8 Plain Top Les Paul Reissue guitars with an approximate retail value of $3199. Besides the slightly special finish, they had a unique CAN 880XX serial number that told you it was a 1958 Reissue from 2008 and the last two digits told you what number out of 75 you had. There was also a Maple leaf decal with the words "Limited Edition" under it on the back of the headstock. However, the coolest thing about this was the Gibson branded maple leaf bottle of Maple Syrup. This is the craziest piece of case candy I've ever heard of! I want one haha.
