Pre-hung Door Casing Width Too Small for Wall (solution)

I am replacing all of the doors in my house with pre-hung six panel doors. I ran into an issue with the width of the new door casing and the existing wall. My house was built in 1963 with plaster walls and this video quickly shows a cheap and aesthetically pleasing solution.
