Ace Spade || Master and a Hound || Heels (+1x03)

I discovered this show purely by accident and I am in my feels so here it goes:

Here’s the thing:

I really love Ace. And Jack is a manipulative bastard. I can’t be the only one here seeing how terrible of a brother jack actually is to Ace.

And gosh Ace, where do I start with this one. They first started off the show trying really hard to convince me that he was a villain, instead they just made me realize how decent of a person he actually is most of the time. He’s an absolute sweetheart to his mother, peaceful with his brother, and completely loving with his nephew. He’s also pretty decent and friendly with all the wrestlers in their company. He’s also respectful with Crystal most of the time they’re together. Having said all that, Ace lashes out, but only when something is done to him. The only time he disrespects anyone or turns rude and childish is when he’s emotional, but mostly, when his brother fucks him up over something. And boy oh boy oh boy, his brother. Where do I fucking start with Jack?
- Forcing him into wrestling.
- Consistently lying to him.
- Manipulating him.
- Sabotaging him.
- Kicking him down repeatedly.
- Putting his stupid wrestling company over his mental health and overall wellbeing

That entire thing with him handing out tissues and asking that woman to scream cry baby during ace’s speech even though he wrote that speech and knew damn well that Ace didn’t want to be heal. Jack doesn’t care about what Ace wants or his happiness or wellbeing. He only cares about the story, at the expense of everyone else, specially Ace. I’m glad the entire characters kept pointing out that Jack was and is still a dick to his brother and when his wife slept on the couch? Damn that felt nice.

Even after all that, Ace never actually asked Jack to apologize. He didn’t even ask him why. Jack apologized himself and Ace even brushed him off.

Jack only see him as a cash cow and the thing is, so does Crystal. Crystal doesn't even like Ace. She probably can't even stand him. Literally the only reason she's with him is cause he's her ticket out of town. He's literally her cash cow. Characters have hinted on this repeatedly. I mean that's probably why Ace doesn't even want her to begin with. He knows she's only there for her own benefit, and not because she has any feelings for him.

The guy is honestly not the villain they’re trying so hard to convince me that he is. He’s a mentally unstable emotional man who’s literally teetering on the edge of insanity and I’m so pissed no one other than his mother sees just how far gone he actually is. He's an unstable man surrounded by people who only want to use him for their own benefit, disregarding what he actually wants and what's best for his mental health. If jack doesn’t let up anytime soon, he might just push him off the edge and who knows, maybe even drive him into suicide like he did to their father (Bill’s words, not mine)

Anyway, Damn I love Ace and Alexander is killing it.

First three episodes were absolutely magnificent. Fourth episode was complete garbage don’t even start with me. I have no idea what went wrong in this one.

I don't think I can stand Crystal with anyone other than Ace. I know its unfair to her cause Ace isn't really looking for a girlfriend in crystal (or maybe he is? Episode 4 confused me) however, Crystal has been his only rock and sanity these past three episodes and I'm so scared for him. Who's going to pull him back from insanity if not Crystal? Either he realizes he actually needs her as a companion, and not just a valet and he gets her back ORR he just lashes out in jealousy and becomes even more terrible to her than before, driving him deeper into insanity than before. Ugh Starz please don't gut me with Ace. Jack better take ONE page from Dean's big brother rule book before we have a second suicide on our hands.

Fuck this show it wrecked me.
