Best Value Apple CarPlay Android Auto Head Unit 2019 - PLUS iDatalink Maestro compatibility explained.

NOTE: I did disconnect power from the iLX-W650 after making this video and found that it DID retain memory of EQ presets. Nice!

Make sure to visit https://maestro.idatalink.com/ and plug in your vehicle info. On the upper right portion of the screen, click on "Flash Your Module" then select "Start Weblink Demo". This will allow you to do a mock flash your vehicle for both the ADS-MRR and ADS-MSW.

The iDatalink ADS-MSW is their basic steering wheel control module and the ADS-MRR is the advanced Maestro required for certain vehicles as explained in the video. If your vehicle pops up only under the ADS-MRR, then you NEED the ADS-MRR and an iDatalink compatible head unit. If it pops up under both, it's kind of like the Jeep Wrangler example used in the video it just means you'll get some bonus features, but it's not required.

Each demo flash clearly lists the features retained based on vehicle, steering wheel control module and radio used so you can easily find out whether or not you need a Maestro compatible radio or if it would retain features you'd be interested in.
