The Disappearance of Ciara Breen | She Left the Window Open

In the early hours of February 13th, 1997, 17-year-old Ciara Breen disappeared from her home in Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland.

Investigators believe she quietly left the house during the night to meet someone and planned to return before morning. Her bedroom window was left open so she could climb back inside.

But Ciara never came back.

Despite searches and multiple investigations over the years, no trace of Ciara Breen has ever been found and no one has been charged.

More than two decades later, the case remains one of Ireland’s most haunting unsolved disappearances.
