'I want my mommy': Kids found in car after high speed police chase ends in crash

A man was taken into custody in Atlanta in December after he was alleged to have fired shots at a gas station before leading officers in a high-speed pursuit with three young children in his car.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, bystanders were narrowly missed in the shooting incident before the pursuit began.

After releasing a woman from the vehicle, whom local media identified as the mother of the three children, the driver continued to evade police before eventually crashing.

Responding officers were shocked to find three children in the crashed car, with one crying, “I want my mommy.”

The suspect was named as William Burris, a man with 37 previous arrests.
