Amazon Echo Clock is more useful that I expected!

NOTE: AMAZON's put a hold on selling the Amazon Clock as there have been a lot of reported connectivity problems with the clock. I will post a link back to the Amazon sales page as soon as it's back up for sale.

When the Amazon Clock was first announced, I was skeptical as to how useful this would be in the real world. One of the most used features, at least in my home, of my Echo is the timer and reminder features. Whether I'm setting myself a quick reminder to take out the garbage on Thursday night or just a quick 10 minute timer when cooking, this feature is really something I use everyday. When the Amazon Clock claimed to be able to add to this experience, I wanted to see what that actually looked like.

I'm really happy to say that I believe the addition of a visual element to this most-used feature actually does help me to keep on track. No longer do I have to ask Madam A how much time is left on my timers. It's right there on the wall for me to see.

The Echo Clock is a bluetooth based Amazon Gadget which means that you're going to need an existing Amazon Echo to pair this with. There's no speaker in the clock, so any alarms that you set will have to play off the paired echo as well.

Is this the sexiest clock in the world? No. Is this a clock I would put in everyroom I have an Echo Dot? Absolutely not. It's a piece of tech that you might put in your office or close to the kitchen to complement the smarts that Amazon's delivered in it's Echo line of products.
