Taiwanese doctor included in Abu Dhabi tourism video|Taiwan News
There are countless cultures in this world. When a doctor from Taichung went to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, he tried on a traditional white robe and headscarf to experience part of their culture. The local police noticed he wasn’t wearing the headscarf quite right, so they helped adjust it. To the doctor’s surprise, this moment ended up in Abu Dhabi’s tourism video!
This is the World Tourism Day video released by Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The man seen wearing a white robe and having his headscarf adjusted is none other than Taiwanese doctor Chiu Hung-chieh.

As soon as I got there, I saw there were police everywhere. At first, I was nervous because I thought I might get in trouble. But then they gave us gifts and told us how safe it is here for tourists.
Chiu, a urologist at Asia University Hospital, came to the UAE for the 20th Urological Association of Asia Congress, where he presented about the benefits of flexible ureteroscopy surgery. When they had time off from meetings, Chiu and other doctors toured around and wore traditional white robes and headscarves according to local custom. But they didn’t wear them quite right, so the locals lent a helping hand.

In the Arab world, different headscarves represent different regions. People from Qatar and Abu Dhabi usually wear white.
When they got to the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the staff kindly helped them adjust their headscarves, allowing tourists to experience foreign customs.

A local guy came up to us to fix our headscarves. He told us that locals think wearing it this way is more handsome.
Normally outfitted in white coats, these doctors changed into white robes when they visited Abu Dhabi. Their unexpected inclusion in a local tourism video made the trip unforgettable.
