Welcome to pre challenge number 2

We were asked to create on a single tip a 3d piece, one thing about ourselves that the nails team don’t know be it a hobby, a personal trait ect…

Cue brain over thinking…. You know those introduction parts of training courses we all secretly dread yup! I have so many things I could share about myself and I go blank as soon as Im in the spotlight so how to make sense of where I wanted to go with this challenge.

Cram it all into one thing that symbolises for me about me! Why not it's a challenge right!

I could have gone movies, hobbies but I’m going to get deep…. And go with life challenges whilst my life is extremely ordinary, some days life is simply put a battle. Since early teens I have battled with anxiety and depressions and the ups and down of balancing my life to simply just function. Something I think we all do know a little about right? I've been to the lowest of lows at one point my anxiety got so bad I barely left the house and couldn’t go certain places. The biggest thing about myself that I can say is I am a survivor time and time again I’ve picked myself up and kept going even on those deepest darkest black days I keep going, I do it for myself but most important as a sole parent I do it for my children. So now how do I do this in just 1 single nail design!

Lets go back into things I like sci fi, mythology, fantasy, magic ha ha see a pattern….

Ohhh google how I love thee… But before google how I love my closest friends, sometimes when we can’t see it ourselves those closest to us do…. The Phoenix of course!!

Symbolic Meaning of the Phoenix
Life, Time, Magic, Purity, Clarity, Rebirth, Renewal, Longevity, Creativity, Protection, Immortality, Resurrection, Reemergence, Transformation

Legends of the phoenix vary according to historical era and cultural origin, but there are common themes woven through out all the stories. The phoenix is a mythological bird that recycles its own life. When it perceives its impending death, the phoenix ignites itself into a magnificent fire. In time, it reemerges from its own ashes — reborn, renewed, and very much alive.

To personalise it to my journey I’ve chosen to transform a woman figure and morph her into a fiery phenix, this is my first attempt at a 3d piece such as this. Ive used acrylic and paints and have learnt so much as I've gone along. A lot of this piece I've created just by experimenting and giving it a go. My video gave me the greatest amount of anxiety go figure! So tick off another out of my comfort zone challenge i'm sure by the end I'll be a natural pro ;)

I really hope you like my design, it made me laugh, cry, get mad, loose sleep and even panic!
