이 조합..
솔직히 반칙 아닌가요?

치밀하게 짜여진 구성을 클래식을 연주하듯 악보 그대로 연주하는 경우가 있습니다.
치고 빠지는 파트가 정해져 있기에 서로 엉킬 염려도 없고 기복이 적어서 매 테이크마다 비슷한 퀄리티를 유지할 수 있어요.
잘 짜여질 경우 아주 좋은 결과물을 만들어냅니다.

반대로 너무 많이 정해놓지 않고 서로의 연주에 반응하면서 그 순간 느껴지는 감성으로 연주할 때도 있는데 이 방법 역시 나름의 매력이 있어요.
호흡이 맞지 않을 경우 진짜 개판이 될 수도 있지만 잘 맞으면 엄청난 에너지와 함께 최고의 희열을 느낄 수 있습니다.

이번 영상의 연주가 그렇습니다.
보통의 경연 무대는 편곡자가 섬세하게 디자인해서 전달하기 때문에 세션들의 자유도가 그리 높은 편이 아니에요.
이번 곡은 편곡자가 저희 불명 밴드 멤버였는데
곡을 디테일하게 디자인하기가 귀찮았던 것인지, 아니면 멤버들을 믿었던 것인지(후자 겠지요?)
“찍어놓은 가이드 신경 쓰지 말고 마음대로 멋있게 쳐줘~! “
라는 코멘트에 진짜 제 마음대로 쳤습니다.
섹션과 리듬 정도만 적어놓고 편하게 재미있게 연주했어요.

듣는 청중들은 모르는, 스테이지 뮤지션들만 아는 그런 희열이 있어요.
오징어 게임에서 일남 할아버지가 "보는 것보다 직접 하는 게 훨씬 재미있다" 고 할 때 저는 딱 이 생각이 났습니다.
느껴본 사람은 알죠.
이 전 테이크에서는 듣지 못했던 멤버들의 신선한 프레이즈들.
거기에 즉흥으로 반응하는 또 다른 멤버들.
나도 해본 적 없는 플레이를 끌어내는 서로의 에너지.
정해놓지도 않았는데 신기하게 멤버끼리 딱 들어맞았을 때 그 희열.

피곤에 쩔어있던 초반과 달리 후반부로 갈수록 제 얼굴에 생기가 돕니다.
영상 속 웃음들은 모두 표정관리 1도 없는 찐 웃음이에요.
제가 느꼈던 즐거움이 조금이라도 전달됐으면 좋겠어요.

In some cases, the carefully organized composition is played as it is as if playing classical music.
Since there are certain parts that hit and quit, there is no fear of getting tangled up and there are few ups and downs, so you can maintain similar quality for each take.

On the contrary, there are times when we play with the emotions we feel at that moment while responding to each other's performance without setting too much, but this method also has its own charm.
If you don't fit well, it can be a mess, but if you fit well, you can feel the greatest joy with tremendous energy.

That's how the performance of this video goes.
The usual contest stage is not very free because the arranger designs and delivers it delicately.
The arranger of this song was our band member.
Was it annoying to design the song in detail or did he trust the members? (the latter, right?)

I really played as I please.
I just wrote down the sections and rhythms and played comfortably and fun.

There is a joy that only stage musicians know that the audience does not know.
Ilnam said in a Squid game, "It's much more fun to do it in person than to see it." and this is exactly what I thought in stage.
People who have felt it will know.
The fresh phrases of the members that we didn't hear in the previous take.
The other members who respond spontaneously.
Each other's energy to bring out a play that I've never played before.
The joy when the members fit together even though we didn't decide.

Unlike the beginning, when I was exhausted, my face becomes lively toward the second half.
All the laughter in the video is a real smile with no facial expression control.
I hope that the joy I felt will be delivered even a little bit.
