Yue Jizhong is a fearless, incorruptible imperial envoy of the Ming court. Taking his children Renjie and Jinping along on an inspection tour to Sui Province, the official escapes an assassination attempt by the local tyrant Fifth Jupiter of the Cao Village, due to the timely intervention of a dexterous masked sword player. Soon afterwards, he is abducted by the relentless Cao and his sister. Hurrying to his rescue, Renjie and Jinping are joined by the masked knight to subdue the ferocious Cao Da, who has taken the official hostage during his flight but is finally vanquished by the masked sword player. Tearing down her veil, the redeemer reveals herself to be Renjie's fiancée Jinrong who has taken upon herself to protect him from harm all the while.
