Eddie Vedder - Sleeping by Myself (Lost in Translation & Her)

Emotions have found their thoughts, but thoughts have yet to find the words.

This is a portrait of thoughts. I've put these images together because I had this idea going through my mind that feelings turn into thoughts, but it turns out to be too late when those thoughts convert into words. And we all make that mistake, of letting our thoughts take way too much time until they become actions. It's not always rational. Sometimes you get misunderstood, other times you don't get understood at all. And time is a flat circle; the moment that has passed will never come back. That's the harsh, but beautiful part of the journey we're on. So I guess we should enjoy it and say what we feel more often.

This is also an homage to two of my favorite movies that are very well connected to each other, more than you would probably think. The two films are like love letters. "Lost in Translation was written by Sofia Coppola in order to describe her relationship with her husband at that point, Spike Jonze.

And because every little thing has at least two sides, "Her" was written by Spike Jonze, a decade after Sofia's film, to tell her his side of their love story. And they turned out to be two of the most beautiful love letters in filmmaking history.
