Barbra Streisand (Improved Quality) 20 Seconds Long Belt -Make Our Garden Grow from Candide

In April 1988, Barbra Streisand began working with Rubert Holmes on a follow up album to her incredibly successful "The Broadway Album." The sessions with Holmes were videotaped because of the enormous size of the MGM studio. Holmes needed to see Streisand, in the recording booth across the stage, while he conducted the orchestra. The album planned in 1988 resulting in these sessions was never released. Instead a completely different album called "Back to Broadway" was released in 1993 leaving this gorgeous track on the shelf.

I keep waiting for Barbra to properly release this masterpiece...maybe on the follow up to "Release Me.' In the meantime, I've tried to improve the quality of the sound. I've done what I can but to be honest, we still just get a hint of what this must sound like in all its glory. Until then, I hope you enjoy.
