Bitchin Vintage 60's Bladwin 9 String

We begin by taking a very good look at a super cool old guitar we know very little about. It's a Baldwin 9 String Hollow-body. That's all we know at the moment. It needs to have some major restoration done to make it a player again. See why in the video ahead:-)

So I did a bit more searching, and I think it's a Communist guitar of some kind, or possibly custom built from communist guitar parts. Migma seems to be the closest in terms of parts (the tremolo, and the white block neck): http://cheesyguitars.com/migma_favorit.html

The headstock looks like others from Musima (http://cheesyguitars.com/musima_elgita.html) ... both East German guitars.

I have not seen ANY other 9 strings in this configuration except for this Vox: http://www.swingcitymusic.com/shop/vox-mark-ix-9-string/

My dad was a tinkerer (airplane tech) in Poland, and out of necessity he built a lot of his won shit, like amps and stuff, so it would make sense that this could be a modified piece, or even mostly hand built.

As for the Baldwin name, I have no idea ... the logo is wrong for Baldwin guitars, so maybe it's just the name of some dude who built it in his shed :)
