PAINTING TIMELAPSE || Expressive Portrait in Oil - 'Disregard'

Oil painting on 16x20" canvas.
For those of you asking why I started with the pink base - there really isn't a reason in the end - I painted this a while back when I was still learning the basics of oil painting and I started with the pink base thinking that it would show up underneath the layers a bit. But, I was used to painting on panel, and it's much harder to make the original color come through on canvas. I ended up liking the blue-green color better anyway. Still learning!!
