Deadly Russian Strikes Hit Multiple Ukrainian Cities - #IwereNews

Russia has launched a large wave of drone and missile attacks across Ukraine overnight into Thursday, April 16, 2026, killing at least 13 people and injuring dozens more.

In the capital Kyiv, at least two to four people were killed, including a 12-year-old boy and a 35-year-old woman.

Rescue teams pulled victims from the rubble of damaged residential buildings, with more than 10–18 others injured.

In the southeastern city of Dnipro, two people were killed and at least 10–27 others injured, with residential buildings set ablaze.

In the southern port city of Odesa, six to seven people lost their lives, with additional injuries reported from strikes on residential and port areas.

In Kharkiv, a drone strike injured two elderly residents.

The attacks involved a combination of missiles and drones, coming shortly after a brief ceasefire period around Orthodox Easter, with both sides accusing each other of violations.

In a related development, Ukrainian drone strikes on Russia’s Krasnodar region (including Tuapse) reportedly killed two children, according to Russian local authorities.

Rescue operations and investigations continue in the affected Ukrainian cities.
