Simple Motions 2 - Game Walkthrough (full)

All you need is a little push of gravity and everything will start flow on the right motion. More twists will entice you back in this puzzle and physics game called Simple Motions 2. The aim here is to get all the stars in each level. There are 2 types of stars that you must obtain. The yellow stars are needed to complete the level. The red ones will give you extra points and you can finish the level without grabbing them. The game still features those power-ups that can make you speed up or become big. Use these items wisely to finish all puzzles.

Overview:

Simple Motions 2 is similar to the first game. We have our spike ball friends up to no good again. By no good meaning they’re just being simple and being lazy all the time. For some reason they have the urge to collect stars and go to red flags. Just help our ball friends get those stars and reach that red flag to finish the game.

Aesthetics:

Simple Motions 2 utilizes the same visuals that the first game. It uses a simplistic hand drawn style with cartoonish presentation. The designs for the characters are simple to probably sync with the title. The background and overall terrain setting looks simple as well. They have that monotonic look to it having a lot of shades of gray but that’s that not necessarily a bad thing. The animations are also fluent and smooth especially with the ball movements. The music has that science fiction feel to it but has an interesting tune. It’s a tune that makes you feel simple or a bit lazy. Then again just sit back and relax as you play the game.

Gameplay:

Simple Motions 2 is the same with the first game when it comes to being a puzzle game. The game itself as we already stated is a puzzle game. You have to help our main character which is the red ball reach the red flag while catching the stars in the process. The red star is something that the player should not miss as the level will not be completed if the player does not get it. The level will also not end if the players will not be able to land on the red flag. In terms of controls, there are any as it is a placing type of game. There are items or so-called power ups that you have to place on the level to help our character reach the red flag. The power-ups may vary but you have a specific number to use in each level. You have to place them in the right positions to help the character get to the red flag. One of the power-ups includes a speed boost that allows you to gain momentum. There is also the softener power up that allows the character to squeeze between small spaces. There is also a power-up that makes the character bigger to get stars in one go. There are also other power-ups like a trajectory one which launches our character in the air. There are other power-ups to mention but again they serve their purpose well. Speaking of stars, while the red star is required to get there are other stars to get. We have white stars to get but they aren’t required to finish the level. White stars can range from 5 to more and getting them can add some challenge. Then we have the hidden stars that are also not required and you can’t see them until you get them which is also challenging to do.
