Dalal Street began the week on a strong note, with bulls firmly in control as optimism around a proposed Iran–US peace deal framework, along with easing crude oil prices and supportive global cues, lifted sentiment. Sensex surged 736 points to close at 76,264, while the Nifty 50 rose 231 points to end at 23,853. The Nifty Bank index also gained 384 points, closing at 57,198. Broader buying was seen across auto, realty, consumer durables, financial services and cement stocks, while oil & gas also strengthened on peace hopes. Trent, Shriram Finance, HDFC Life, Eicher Motors, InterGlobe Aviation, Bajaj Finserv and Eternal (Zomato) led the gainers, whereas NTPC, Bajaj Auto, ONGC and ICICI Bank were among the top losers.
