لقد تلقيت بخالص الحزن والصدمـة نبأ رحيل أستاذنـا ورائدنـا وأحد أقطاب الموسيقى العربية والأفريقية فناننا الكبيير الفنان محمد وردى ، و أنا أتمنى أن هذا الخيط النبيل الذى كان يربط الموسيقى المصرية والسودانية ويربطهما بعالمنا العربى لا ينقطع ، و أنا أثق انه ترك لنا الكثير من التلاميذ فى مدرسته التى تنير ثقافة موسيقى وادى النيل ، أبداً لن أنساك يا وردى ولن تنساك موسيقى وليالى المصريين والسودانيين ولن تنساك الموسيقى العربية ، رحمك الله رحمة واسعة .. وعزائى لكل مصر و السودان

I was shocked after receiving the news of the death of our Teacher, Leader , and one of the most famous icons in the Arabic and African music Mohamed Wardi. And I hope that the thin thread that attaches the Arabic and African music never dies in our Arabic societies. I am sure that he left a lot for his students in his school that shines with musical knowledge. I will never forget you Wardi and also the Egyptians and Sudanese musical nights will never forget you. God's Mercy be Upon you, and my consolation to all Egyptians and Sudanese
