Jungle Ziplining || Umgawa Ziplining Eco Adventures, Langkawi

Umgawa Zipline Eco Adventures are a company located near the Skycab and oriental village on the island of Langkawi, Malaysia.

To reach Umgawa Zipline Eco Adventures, travel towards the oriental village, past the car park for the Skycab and keep going towards 7 wells waterfall. At the base of the walk up to 7 wells waterfall you will see the Umgawa Adventures offices where you will be able to book yourself in for a course (if you haven't already) and this is where you will meet to start the tour.

Umgawa Zipline Eco Adventures offer two courses, one is about 1 hour long and involves 6 ziplines, but the best option is the full course of 12 ziplines, which will be 2-2.5 hours long. 1 of these will give you views of 7 wells waterfalls, and another is over 200 metres long!

I wouldn't say that it is particularly frightening for those who have an appetite for doing things outdoors, but if you're afraid of heights then you might get an extra rush out of it. The guides at Umgawa are knowledgeable about Langkawi and the surrounding jungle, they make the experience more fun.

It is not cheap, but it is not outrageous either considering the safety standards that need to be upheld. All the gear used was well maintained and the ziplines are constantly monitored to avoid damaging the trees that they are anchored too.

If you're in Langkawi and have the cash to spare, then I definitely recommend checking out Umgawa Zipline Eco Adventures. It is not going too adventurous, children and the elderly are more than welcome and regularly complete the full course with ease. It is fun though despite not giving you an adrenaline rush.
