HKJC PRESENTS SIMPLE GIFTS OF JOY

What’s the perfect gift for the holiday season? Often, it’s the intangible things that have the most lasting impression – those spontaneous smiles, those warm embraces, those moments shared together. Christmas is that special time of year where these little things take on an extra special meaning.

It’s this spirit that Tai Kwun and The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“HKJC”) are channeling this Christmas with Simple Gifts of Joy.

The Simple Gifts of Joy journey begins on Parade Ground: at the centre is the soaring, beautifully adorned Christmas tree that will become a festive Hong Kong icon. Every evening, the tree will glow with a magical light show, creating a special atmosphere across the space. The historic buildings surrounding Parade Ground will also come alive with a symphony of dramatic lighting.

Simple Gifts of Joy Light Show

Date: 1 December 2022 - 2 January 2023

Time: Every half an hour from 6pm – 9:30pm*

Venue: Parade Ground, Tai Kwun

Price: Free of Charge

Getting there:

Central Station Exit D1 – Wheelock House
Walk towards Sheung Wan along Queen’s Road Central and turn left at the junction with Queen Victoria Street, to reach Tai Kwun via escalator in 100QRC and the Central to Mid-Levels Escalator.

Hong Kong Station Exit E – One International Finance Centre (One IFC)
Walk through the Central Elevated Walkway (footbridge) to the former Central Market, and reach Tai Kwun directly via the Central to Mid-Levels Escalator and Walkway System
