Create a stunning Amethyst Blonde hair color with this tutorial featuring Wella Professionals Color Expert Katja Latvala. For this jewel-like hair Katja is using the Illuminage technique with Blondor Freelights and Illumina Color. Watch the tutorial for tips and advice on creating and maintaining these beautiful amethyst blonde tones.

Step 1: For lightening, use 30g Blondor Freelights + 45g Blondor Freelights Developer 9%
Step 2: the Illuminage technique: In a diagonal pattern free hand paint your lightening, gently tease the section for a natural blend and paint away from the roots.
Step 3: Use the clear Illuminage sheets for separation. Develop for up to 50min.
Step 4: For toning: use 20g Illumina Color Opal-essence Silver Mauve + 10g 9/69 +19g 10/69 + 40g 1.9%. Develop up to 15min.
Step 5: For styling: spray EIMI Sugar Lift to create texture at the root.
To maintain this hair color at home, recommend Color Fresh Mask in Lilac Frost. This color depositing mask is easy to use and will extend the color for longer.
