Gordon's Heart Story: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital's Supportive Nursing Staff

In January 2020, Gordon Ashley was diagnosed with the flu which later resulted in viral cardiomyopathy. Shortly after, he became hospitalized with the urgent need of a heart transplant.

Throughout the entire process, Gordon and his family felt nothing but love and respect from the nursing staff at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Their support gave Gordon's family the comfort and encouragement they needed to get through their hardship.
