Approaching the Scene 027: A Simple Tip for Better Looking Prints
People ask me this all the time. "Why do your prints look so good while my prints look like crap? I have a good printer, good camera and well edited images. Why don't I get better looking prints?" In this video I'll share some tips that can help quickly solve that problem. Spoiler alert, I'll bet your monitor is set too bright while you're editing.
If there's one lesson I've learned after spending years learning to get professional quality prints from my edited images, it's that setting your monitor up right is the foundation of photo editing. Otherwise every adjustment we make is a roll of the dice. I'll show you a quick free way to improve your monitor settings as well as showcase how I use hardware to calibrate my system. Afterwards I take a few questions on photo locations and the new Nikon Z6.
