Megadeth's Dave Mustaine: It's 'Really Hard' to Like My Ex Megadeth Bandmates!

During a conversation with Metal Wani, Dave Mustaine discussed the lineup changes Megadeth went through over the years,

Over the years, Megadeth has seen some lineup changes. Do you feel those changes have been beneficial?

"Yeah, I hate the harm that it cost to any of those guys because it's obvious, some of the partings of ways have been amicable and some of them have not; some of us are friends and some of us aren't. Some of them I like, some of them it's really hard to like.

"But I respect the hell out of every single one of them for being my partner at one point and leaving their world behind to join mine and go on a tour bus around the world. I never take that for granted.

"Whenever I see somebody saying that a past band member has said - and it's only a couple guys that I heard, people who were unhappy and trying to hurt me and in turn hurting themselves - because it makes everybody look bad.

"If somebody says something bad about me, usually I think, 'Well, I've heard that before, it's a good one.' But you know, it doesn't bother me because if it's someone I don't care about, they can't hurt me.

"And when you hear people say stuff, sometimes you also got to be man enough to own it. There were times where I was not really being in a safe, warm place with these guys, you know, there were a lot of times when I imagined they probably didn't know if the tour would go on or if there will be another record.
