Nursing - Highland Community College

Highland Community College in northeast Kansas offers a competitive Practical Nursing program and a LPN-to-RN completion program (earning an Associate's in Nursing). Students will obtain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to succeed in the nursing field.

The 9-month LPN program is designed to prepare students for the National Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN). Licensed practical nurses play an important role in performing tasks in a variety of settings including long-term care facilities, doctor's offices, correctional facilities, hospitals, and many more medical venues.

The LPN-to-RN transition program is two semesters and allows licensed practical nurses to "bridge" to the next level of nursing.
