At this meetup, Wenxin Du, Software Engineer at Google Cloud, and Mike DeAngelo, Developer Relations Engineer at Looker, showed us the MCP Toolbox! MCP Toolbox is an open-source MCP server for databases developed by Google. Wenxin introduced the MCP Toolbox and how it can power agents with cloud data services using prebuilt and custom tools! Then Mike presented a demo on how to use MCP Toolbox to navigate and build new Looker assets!

Finally, OpenMetadata Co-Creator and Collate Co-Founder and CTO Author at Sriharsha Chintalapani previewed OpenMetadata’s Knowledge Graph features, which combine Ontology, RDF, and JSON layers to move from context-driven systems to semantic-driven systems.
