JODHPUR, INDIA: THE BLUE CITY! (4K)

Jodhpur, India is known as "The Blue City" because so many of its buildings are painted blue. Why are they painted blue? You can find out in the beginning of this video as we take a walk through The Blue City. In the next segment, you'll see one of the most impressive forts in India-Mehrangarh Fort. It's a fortress on the outside and a palace on the inside, and from the top, you get an excellent view of the city. Next is my favorite market in India, Sardar Market, which not only features food, carpets, spices, etc., but also the famous clock tower. We then see a beautiful carpet presentation at the Baba Art Emporium in Sardar Market, and yes, I did buy a carpet there-a blue one, since I was in The Blue City! Finally, we tour a beautiful memorial, the Jawant Thada. It features beautiful architecture and a tribute to the Mughal emperors. Here is the breakdown of each segment:

0:00 Walking Around Jodhpur/How Jodhpur Got Its Name "The Blue City"
3:39 Mehrangarh Fort
15:40 Sardar Market/Clock Tower
20:47 Carpet Presentation in Sardar Market
