Class 52 | JavaScript for Hacking | Problem Solving - XII | Part 02
Course Description – JavaScript for Web Security (Ethical Hacking Focus)
This course introduces students to how modern websites work internally and how security vulnerabilities arise in client-side JavaScript. The goal is to build a strong foundation in ethical web security by teaching students to think like both a developer and a security analyst.
Students will learn how browsers process JavaScript, how data flows between users and servers, and how common client-side vulnerabilities occur due to insecure coding practices. Through guided, legal lab environments, they will analyze real-world style security flaws such as DOM-based injection, insecure input handling, and logic weaknesses, then learn how to fix them using secure coding techniques.
The course emphasizes defensive security and responsible research. Students will understand how ethical hackers identify weaknesses, how vulnerability severity is measured (CVSS), and how professional security reports are written. No illegal activities, live system attacks, or harmful exploitation techniques are taught.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
Understand JavaScript from a security perspective
Identify common client-side security risks
Apply secure coding practices in web applications
Analyze vulnerable code safely in controlled labs
Follow ethical standards used in professional cybersecurity and bug bounty programs
This course is ideal for students who want to build a career path in cybersecurity, secure software development, or web application security.
