Stripers WIND WEEDS & WASH - The 1oz MAG DARTER - STRIPED BASS FISHING in the WEEDY WASH. Hit the surf looking for some stripers today and it was weedy and sweepy BUT looked great! No one out fishing. Worked some saltwater far and close with a jig and teaser, then a needle and teaser. Hit a few striped bass right on the beach lip and in the wash. Thinking, thinking and pull the 1oz Mag Darter from the bag and fish on AND on! Working it right in the wash compliments of the rainy cloudy overcast. Sunny day may not have been the case and the day could have been a null.

Not an ideal choice working the double treble hooked Mag Darter in the slurry of weeds but it did the trick. Worked the Mag Darter from the lip up to me feet for the stripers. The teaser did its charm as well and picked a few fish. The beauty of the teaser is it acts a a weed guard so you can present a weed snag prone lure lure longer in the surf. Much more to the teaser then meets the eye. Had a few more fish on the Mag Darter today working as such. Liking it!
