My ONE Kebari Sold Out - Tenkara Fly Fishing - Shio Kosho Sakasa Kebari - Salt & Pepper - 1 Fly

Back in 2010, I created my very 1st fly fishing fly and named it Salt & Pepper Sakasa Kebari, or in Japanese, Shio Koshō Sakasa Kebari.

This fly is my ONE-Fly that I use, only it and nothing else for the last almost 15 years. This same pattern in various sizes, whether it be the mountain streams in California, Colorado, Virginia, or wherever I may travel.

Why only One-Fly? It tests me. Makes me stop worrying about switching out flies all the time and work on reading the water better, presenting the fly in a way that the fish will take it. Work on my technique until I figure things out.

It has never been the Qty of fish I catch but the experience with reading the waters and finding a way to catch that one elusive trout.

About 1 week ago we started to sell this fly I created and in a matter of days, it sold out. I am HUMBLED!

In the end it is just a fly. No magic to it but I am proud I created it and could make it an offering to the fish of the world.
